In recent years, we have benefitted around 50 students through doctoral fellowships, thesis co-direction between Colombian and German scientists, internships at partner institutions in both countries, funding of thesis projects, and organization of basic field courses, specialized advanced courses, workshops and seminars taught in Colombia and Germany.
These benefits are granted to the participants of Call for Applications 2 for Early Stage researchers of CEMarin, which allows them to obtain this status defined by our Scientific Committee for enrollment and access to financial support. This call for applications opened on September 10, 2015, and remains open with different deadlines during the year, so that doctoral students who meet the established requirements can form part of our corporation in this category.
Another type of call for applications allows them to obtain support from CEMarin to fund new research projects. We had the support of assessors specialized in the projects’ different topics and the approval of the Scientific Committee’s assessments. This also gives CEMarin Early Stage Researchers the benefit of participating in workshops and conferences of a high academic standard.
